Lisa McHugh took a leap of faith and made the move across the Irish Sea aged just 22. She came to prominence after entering an Irish TV talent show Glór Tíre and it wasn’t long before her band was formed and she began touring the country. The glamorous Glaswegian hasn’t looked back since. Now with a crew of 10 and a show that has scores of people dancing all night long; Lisa is certainly living the dream.
Having now gained thousands of fans, Lisa has won many awards to date including ‘Outstanding Achievement on the World Stage’ in 2012 when she appeared on the Grand Ole Opry – the home of country music as a guest of the legendary Gene Watson.
Country starlet Lisa McHugh proves she is Ireland’s leading female entertainer having held the title for the second time at the prestigious Sunday World Country Music Awards 2018. The country sensation has held the title of ‘Female Entertainer of the Year’ for 2 years running and ‘Female Vocalist of The year’ 5 years running and it does not look as though she is prepared to give up her crown just yet.
