Celebrating the incredible life and career of one of Ireland’s most loved performers, Christie Hennessy’s children will perform as Hennessy from June 13-17 at venues throughout Ireland. Amber, Hermione and Tim who have all had stellar careers within the music business both as artists and as managers, have come together to celebrate the work and career of their late father, who passed away in December 2007.

We cannot wait to meet all of Christie’s fans as we sing his favourite songs, ones everyone will know and love, as well as arranging a few surprises for you all, from our family to yours.”

Hermione, Amber and Tim will perform classic songs made famous by Christie Hennessy including:  'MESSENGER BOY', 'OH JEALOUS HEART',  'IF YOU WERE TO FALL’, 'ALL THE LIES THAT YOU TOLD ME’ and ‘ROLL BACK THE CLOUDS’, as well as singing songs that influenced their father. The show, Hennessy: A Tribute to Christie will feature exclusive and heart-felt stories and anecdotes about a man for whom fame came late in life.

Hermione Hennessy-Ross, who has worked with acts as diverse as Willie Nelson, Justin Timberlake, Dionne Warwick and R Kelly was Christie’s manager when he signed, aged 47, to U2’s Mother Records. Christie later signed to Warner Records Ireland and became one of the eldest performers to ever receive the Best New Artist award at the 1992 IRMAs. Christie Hennessy went on to record 10 multi-platinum selling albums, playing to sold out concert halls all over Ireland and regularly appearing on Irish TV throughout the 1990s and 2000s.  Hermione will join her sister Amber, a modern classical composer and artist manager who has worked for various major and independent record labels, along with their brother Tim. As well as having his own career as one half of the electronic duo Cash+David, writing film scores for LEGO and working on music for brands such as British Gas and Disney/YouTube Red, Tim produced much of Christie Hennessy’s late work as well as producing the Number one album, Songs My Father Taught Me, the debut release by Hermione Hennessy-Ross which was Number One for over 5 weeks.

Hennessy: A Tribute To Christie will offer a unique insight into the life and career of a loved and much missed Irish music legend, performed by the people who knew him best, his children. Also on show will be unseen memorabilia and personal effects that the family have curated for fans for the first time.
